Welcome to my little space on the internet. I created this site as an outlet for my political rantings.
I first became politically active by joining my campus Progressive Conservative association in university. Perhaps that's where the seed to take my politics online was born - I was in charge of advertising the association over the university's newsgroups.
It was just shortly after the federal election of 2006 that I gave up on supporting the Conservatives politically. I honestly believed in the Conservative mantra of accountability and populism. When they began to abandon those principles, I decided I had had enough. I remained an Ontario Progressive Conservative for some time, but when they began to echo their federal counterparts, I left.
I joined the federal Liberal party, subsequently the provincial Liberal Party, and have been a partisan Liberal since.
I have had the good fortune to have been accredited as a blogger to the 2012 NDP Leadership Convention, the 2013 Ontario Liberal Leadership Convention, the 2013 Liberal Leadership National Showcase in Toronto, and most recently, the 2014 Liberal Biennial Convention in Montreal. I also coordinated the online presence for the campaign Conservatives for MMP.
I moderate the content and preside over conflicts for the progressive blog aggregator, ProgressiveBloggers.ca. When accredited, I also photoblog to the main site.
Outside of politics, I enjoy craft beer, watching superhero movies, playing board games, and cheering on Toronto's sport teams.
