A New Dark Age

Impolitical points out that the Canada's New Conservative Harper Government is attempting to usher in a new Dark Age, led by Gary Goodyear.

Coincidentally enough, the Tories trot out their Science Policy Advisor, Preston Manning, to tell us how the science community can best help the Canadian economy by telling us how the Tories are a great friend to scientific research. After all, it's up to the scientific community to research science that makes the most money.

I can't believe I used to go out with these people.

Updated: No wait! Tories love science! They give out awards!

Ah James, I remember several years ago, before to left the Blogging Tories, that I explained why, I, as a conservative could not support Harper and his band. The answer is simple, they are not conservatives, they are at best rightwing fringe SoCons and anti-government and pro Jesus freaks.

But it is alright now James, you stopped drinking the Kool-aid. PS, stay away from the Iggy the Iggiot kool-aid as well. I'm still waiting for more proof, but I think Iggy is just as slimmy as Harper.

Sad days are these where our two national parties are run by ego freaks who change policy with the change in the wind.
