Cabinet has upheld a CRTC decision to issue two satellite radio licences after the applicants agreed to increase Canadian content and French-language service.I now require all of you to write to your MPs and tell them you love them. But, only for this. You hate them for everything else, but not for this.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission now will hold hearings to get public input on the new commitments, which will be included as conditions of the licences, a spokesman for Heritage Minister Liza Frulla said Friday.
I still don't understand the concern for CanCon. I can listen to Q107, and listen to 100th Meridian by the Hip or Fly By Night by Rush or hop over to 92.5 Jack FM and listen to Avril Lavigne's Sk8ter Boi or Alanis Morrissette's You Oughta Know 500 times a day - is that the CanCon that people are trying to protect? Love every one of them, but I think CanCon is better off with the satellite radios.

Let it never be said that Dipper and Tory can't get along. Aw! How snuggily!
Good decision by the cabinet.
